Weird ice cream

Around the world there are so many kind of ice cream flavors which are so delicious, like chocolate, vanilla, green tea, cookies and cream, etc.
But around the world there are some weird flavors for ice cream. I will tell you 7  the most weird ice cream flavors in my version, there are..........................
  • What better way to tickle your taste buds than with another tongue? Though Ox Tongue Ice Cream may not be the first delicacy to come to mind, its taste is nothing to have a beef with. Different cultures have different ideas of what ox tongue actually is. Anyway, if you feel the urge for some delicious ice cream, try it and see for yourself.

  • Wasabi Ice Cream. Sushi gets its punch from the horseradish paste known in Japanese as wasabi. While its tingling taste makes a delightful addition to raw fish, wasabi’s tangy flavor also makes for a surprisingly edible ice cream.

  • Raw Horseflesh Ice Cream. The mere thought of putting raw horseflesh into ice cream may be enough to produce plenty of naysayers. And, rightfully so. You can get it straight from the horse’s mouth, this would have to vie for the vilest ice cream ever created. The chunks of meat inside it offer ample proof of why horseflesh is usually used in dog food.

  • Garlic Ice Cream. At last! An ice cream that lets everybody around you know you’ve eaten it! Garlic-flavored Dracula Ice Cream is a summer delight you can really sink your teeth into. Designed to ward off vampires, this uncommon choice of flavoring may ward off a few ice cream lovers, too. Garlic may well be a wonderful condiment for an assortment of foods, but, as for a substance vampires really hate, this is bloody awful. Incidentally, Garlic Ice Cream was made in the tiny Aomori Prefecture village of Shingo, which claims to be the place where Jesus Christ’s grave is located.

  • Sesame, Soybean and Dried Kelp Ice Cream. This is a real winner, and about as healthy as you can get with ice cream, by combining three staples of the traditional Japanese diet that have made people into the longest-living on earth.

  • Pit Viper Ice Cream. The pit viper is one of the most dangerous poisonous snakes inhabiting the Japanese archipelago. And a bite into this reptilian flavored ice cream can certainly seem deadly. Pit viper is regarded as an aphrodisiac in Japan, but the terrible taste makes it hard to fall in love with this ice cream.

  • Charcoal Ice Cream. The “coalden” child of Japanese ice creams. A must-eat for the coal miners. Not cool, but undoubtedly “coaled.” An ice cream that could char reputations. But the taste? Char-ming.

The First Ice Cream Flavor

We know in the 4th century B.C. that Roman emperor Nero sent servants into the mountains to retrieve snow, which was then flavored with honey, nuts and other fruit toppings, but that’s not really ice cream because it contains no milk or cream. Some of the earliest frozen treats to use milk and cream originated in the Middle East around the 10th century A.D. These desserts were also flavored with fruit and nuts.

But if you're looking for the first modern ice cream recipes the stuff that most closely resembles the ice cream we know and love today. You'll have to go back in time to 18th century England and America. It was then that one of the earliest ice cream recipes was printed in a book called Mrs. Mary Eale's Receipts. Mrs. Eale describes making ice cream with "Cherries, Rasberries, Currants, or Strawberries".

It was around this time, or maybe a little earlier, that Europeans were working hard on perfecting the art of freezing flavored cream. They, too, added fruits to their recipes, but they also added grated cheese and candied orange flower. According to some article, not all of their creations were successes, as in the case of the pureed asparagus ice cream and foie gras ice cream.

So, it's likely that the first ever ice cream flavor was some sort of fruit flavor. You'd be inclined to think the first flavor was vanilla, because vanilla is the base for so many other flavors, but that would require early ice cream makers to add vanilla bean or vanilla extract to their iced cream ingredient and there's no evidence of that in the earliest days. Still, vanilla was one of the first widely produced and enjoyed flavors of the modern era (19th century to the present). Even today, vanilla is the number one selling flavor in the world, which is quite an achievement considering all the other great flavors in existence!

The Panda and The Tiger

Orientation
  • Who?
    • The Panda and The Tiger
  • Where?
    • In jungle
  • When?
    • Do not know
Complication
  • What happen one day?
    • The Panda, had left his bamboo grove to see what else was in the jungle. He wandered about for hours, seeing things he had never before seen. He saw water falling down from the tops of mountains to the rivers below. He saw brightly colored birds that never ventured near the grove. And he also saw a giant tree, with vines hanging from its branches.
Resolution
  • What happened then?
    • He decided to climb a vine to the top, and see all the jungle at once.
Complication
  • And then...?
    • As he started to climb, the branch began to sag. When he got halfway to the top, the branch snapped and he fell to the ground. He landed right on his back legs, and one of them broke. He laid there, in agony, and realized he had no way to get home, or get food.
Resolution
  • What happened next?
    • Then, a Tiger came along. The Panda was sure he would be eaten, but the Tiger said, "Don't worry. I am here to help you." The Tiger tried to carry the Panda, but he was too heavy. "I am sorry, but I cannot carry you back to your home," said the Tiger. "But I can bring you bamboo, and protect you until you can walk again." So the Panda agreed. The Tiger guarded the Panda at all times, unless he was bringing him food. The Tiger brought large amounts of bamboo, and the Panda ate very well.
Complication
  • Then?
    • After several days, his legs no longer hurt. So, the Panda tried to leave. But he found he weighed too much, and his legs could not support him.
Resolution
  • What happende next?
    • The Tiger smiled, and approached with saliva dripping from his mouth. "What are you doing? I thought you were helping me!"shouted The Panda.
Re-orentation
  • What is the end of the story?
    • Actually all of that time The Tiger was only helping himself.
  • Is the ending happy or sad?
    • It's a sad ending.

Ice Cream Cone

Cone is the first container were found to put the ice cream that can be eaten . An ice cream cone, also known as 'cornet' is actually a pastry used to serve ice cream and is prepared from wafers. The texture of ice cream cones is somewhat similar to that of a waffle. Cake cones, waffle cones, sugar cones and pretzel cones are the different types of ice cream cones. Nowadays, ice cream cones and cupcakes are used as containers for ice cream. However, edible cones were invented only in 1904.

Ice cream being one of the most popular edible items the world over, it would be interesting to find out how the ice cream cone was invented. During the World's Fair of 1904 which was organized in the United States, Ernest Hamwi used zalabia, a waffle-like pastry to serve ice cream. Arnold Fornachou, an ice cream vendor, had run out of paper dishes, which prompted Earnest Hamwi to use the zalabia as a substitute for them. He rolled the zalabia into a cone-shaped container to hold ice cream. Edible cones became instantly popular and people started using them to serve ice cream in the fair itself. Many people tried to take the credit for inventing the cone for using it as an ice cream container.

Lebanese immigrant, Abe Doumar built one of the first machines in the United States for making ice cream cones. Doumar created waffle type cones by adapting a waffle iron into a cone oven. However, Doumar did not make his first cone oven until after the World's Fair.

The History of Machines and Factories

Way back in the land BC, the earliest mention in the "history of ice cream" suggests that it was made simply by mixing fruit or some kind of syrup mixture with snow. The discovery that salt could cool food down quicker and give it an iced texture led to the process of making iced desserts by packing containers with snow and saltpetre. It was not until the mid 1800s however, that the first recognized ice cream machine appeared.

In the 1840s an American lady, Nancy Johnson, gave the world the first hand-turned version of an ice cream machine. Some sources documenting the history of ice cream state that Nancy Johnson did not patent her invention, but records show that she did apply for and receive a patent in 1843.

It seems, however, that Ms Johnson wasn’t too strong on marketing techniques, and the machine was again patented by a Mr William Young in 1848, aptly named the “Johnson Patent Ice Cream Freezer”. This early example of an ice cream maker involved turning a crank by hand to allow the ice and salt to freeze the ingredients and give them an iced consistency. A laborious process it would seem, but a definite breakthrough in ice cream production.

In 1851, the first factory produced ice cream appeared, when Jacob Fussell began producing ice cream on a commercial basis in Maryland. Taking advantage of his success, he was able to open further ice cream factories elsewhere in North America and has since become a legend in the industry.

While the people of the United States and Europe continued to experiment with flavors and varieties of ice cream, an important development was being made in Kentucky by Clarence Vogt. In 1926, he introduced a mechanical ice cream freezer to the world, enabling the frozen products to be produced on a faster and much larger scale.
